This U-shaped 4ha square is the most important urban space in the historical Lisbon due to its privilege location facing the River Tagus. It is an unique XVIII century set of arcades typical of the spirit of the Enlightenment. A sumptuous Arche du Triomphe opens up to the square and the river establishing the routes to all the other 4 continents. A renovating urban project has been designed giving all the privileges to pedestrian movements. It is now possible to understand the meaning and the importance of this ancient exchange point by creating visual link within a 360° panoramic view. Landwater is the key word for the urban lighting design concept for this site.
